50Hertz Transmission and PSE Operator agree on cooperation within the project structure for the third interconnection connecting their networks
On the 11 March 2011, in the presence of European Coordinator, EC representatives, representatives of ministries and respective regulatory authorities from Germany and Poland – the representatives of 50 Hertz Transmission and PSE Operator Management Boards signed the General Agreement on the third interconnection between Poland and Germany.

The Agreement sets out the rules of the cooperation between 50Hertz Transmission and PSE Operator, forming inter-TSOs project structure for preparatory and future construction of third interconnection, known as Ger-Pol Power Bridge. The parties will closely coordinate all actions and individual steps to be taken in the spirit of the joint project.

“Signing the General Agreement is yet another step in improving joint cooperation between both TSOs within third interconnection project” emphasize Boris Schucht, Chef Executive Officer of 50Hertz. “From this moment the third interconnection project shall be boosted, I hope that such model of cooperation will enable the project to run smoothly” adds Henryk Majchrzak, President of the Management Board of PSE Operator.
